Our Purpose

The NAPA Youth Vote Project is a cooperation between APIA vote, Asian American Greeks and community organizations nation wide in an effort to encourage Asian American Youths to register and vote. Asian Americans as a group are mostly ignored in political races because they are statistically least likely to vote and hold the lowest voting percentage amongst the different ethnicities. The NAPA "Dream Team", made up of young Asian American Greeks from across the nation, aims to change that by registering 10,000 new voters by the end of the year through various community projects and activities. Keep up to date with our efforts through this blog!

"Although Asian Americans are only 5 percent of the population in the U.S., Asian Americans have links to more than 60 percent of the world's population through our ethnicity, culture and roots," Mong said. "It is vital that we play our role and exercise our civic duty as Americans to become informed voters."
